Peer Support Groups
Here you can meet and have a tea/coffee with others in a similar situation. These run every 1st and 3rd Monday 3.15pm – 3.45pm & every 2nd and 4th Friday 6pm – 7.30pm
The CRAFT Programme
A group which teaches new ways of communicating with your loved one, which will help you to cope with their addiction, help them into recovery and help you to think about your own self – care
It’s also important to have fun, so why not try something new?
We have a variety of groups such as Singing, Drumming, Creative Writing and Guitar for beginners and we can tell you about much more that is happening in Hackney.
Our dedicated Friends and Family Worker can also introduce you to our Work and Learning advisors, who are here to help you explore your own goals and support you to access the many job, volunteering and training opportunities on offer through our service. Our advisors also provide English and Maths support, Basic computer skills and can refer you for assessments and support with Dyslexia.
Our Welfare and Housing advisor can help you with benefits, housing issues and other matters.
Counselling is available to friends and family members for up to 6 months, with daytime, evening and weekend appointments. We also run groups on Stress Management and Art Therapy – and you can receive Acupuncture from a trained practitioner – all of which can help you cope with the stress involved with caring for a loved one with a drug or alcohol problem.
