Hackney Recovery Service offers a free and confidential support service for individuals and their families and carers affected by drug and alcohol problems.
HRS works with people with different needs and different goals, from those who would like to reduce the amount they are drinking to those who need support because they are using other substances. If you live in Hackney and are over 18, we can offer you support, either by turning up at the service during drop in times or by being referred by another professional.
Welcome to Hackney Recovery Service
Providing tobacco, alcohol and drug awareness services
Empowering our service users
Improving health, wellbeing and social integration
Hackney Recovery Service is a fully integrated, recovery-focused service delivered by WDP, in partnership with CNWL and St Mungo’s.
At the start of treatment, the majority of our support is delivered from our Treatment Hub on Mare Street where we deliver structured groups, one to one sessions and clinical interventions to support you in your recovery journey.
As you progress in your recovery, you will be introduced to our Reintegration Hub on Westgate Street. Changing your life involves new options and opportunities and trying something different. Our Work & Learning Team can support with Education, Training & Employment ideas and programmes, our Parenting Programmes support those affected by substance misuse that also have parenting responsibilities, and our Service User Involvement Lead ensures we are hearing our service users’ voices and that we are delivering what they want.
